The family envisioned a practical yet elegant space where they could gather with their loved ones and create lasting memories, for the majority of the year. Fulfilling their desire for simplicity and functionality, a solution was proposed to extend their patio and seamlessly integrate it with their house by connecting the new structure directly to the existing roof, it created an extension of their living room, offering a smooth transition between indoor and outdoor spaces which is conveniently separated with their existing three-panel sliding glass door.

Looking to complement the architectural style of their home, an exposed wood structure was chosen for the patio. The natural warmth of Southern Yellow Pine wood would add a touch of elegance to the space, harmonizing with the overall design theme. Additionally, a beautiful faux-stone base was incorporated, blending seamlessly with the patio's surroundings and adding a refined touch to the overall appearance.

By keeping the design simple and focusing on the essential elements, the Cruz family's patio became a versatile entertainment space.
