Oneup is an architecture studio based in Madison, WI. We currently hold licenses in the states of Wisconsin, Illinois, and Florida. What sets us apart is our commitment to providing creative and efficient design solutions, as well as a streamlined and inclusive design process. Our process is fun and engaging, it allows you to discover a new way of visualizing and prioritizing your needs. We leverage technology to visualize ideas in three dimensions to assist our collaborators in making well-informed choices.

Meet the Architect
David Montoya
Principal Architect
David Montoya is a licensed architect and entrepreneur with a keen eye for creative solutions. He specializes in projects of different use types and focuses on details to improve energy efficiency and minimize environmental impacts. His design work skillfully captures the fundamental principles of basic geometry, adeptly shaping and creating stunningly beautiful and highly functional habitable spaces that leave a lasting impression.
David received his Bachelor in Architecture from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, in Medellin, from 2001 to 2006, and completed his Masters in Architecture at Judson University, in Elgin, Illinois in 2012.
During his free time, David enjoys volunteering at local schools to spread the word about careers in the construction industry with his peers. When he’s not designing, he loves creating experiences with his wife and two daughters, taking photographs, and sketching.
